Pinch-hitter Todd Hundley and Jimmie Foxx both hit 2-run homeruns in the 7th, Dave Parker hit a solo dinger in the 6th, and George Gore collected four hits, as Oroville got by Oceanside 9-7. George Sisler had three hits, and Tommy Holmes homered for the Cardinals. The Padres will meet Framingham in the 2008 OTL World Series starting on Tuesday.

Framingham exploded for five runs on six hits in the 13th inning, and the Rug Rats beat Wilmington 10-5 to advance to the 2008 OTL World Series. Lou Gehrig had four hits including a 3-run homerun, Vinnie Castilla drove in four runs, and Cap Anson had three hits and scored twice to lead Framingham. Joe Sewell had three hits and two RBIs for the Powerhouse.


OROVILLE
Oceanside 1, Oroville 5

HR: ORO-Sixto Lezcano, Hubie Brooks
Sixto Lezcano and Hubie Brooks each hit 2-run homeruns, and Oroville downed Oceanside 5-1, to send the NLCS to a game seven tomorrow.
WILMINGTON
Framingham 1, Wilmington 2

Jack Pfiester pitched a 4-hitter for eight innings, and Joe Sewell's 5th inning double scoring Billy Hamilton from second proved to be the winning hit, as Wilmington edged Framingham 2-1, forcing an ALCS game 7 tomorrow.

Oroville 2, Oceanside 3

SV: Ken Sanders
HR: OCE-Chuck Klein
Jack Chesbro scattered seven hits over eight innings, and Ken Sanders picked up his second save of the playoffs, as Oceanside won it's third stratght game at home, a 3-2 decision over Oroville. Chuck Klein homered for the Cardinals, and Jimmie Foxx drove in both Padre runs. Oceanside leads the NLCS 3-2 as the series returns to Oroville for game six on Friday.
FRAMINGHAM
Wilmington 6, Framingham 0
W: Wilbur Cooper L: Christy Mathewson
SV: None
HR: None
Wilbur Cooper pitched a 4-hitter into the ninth, and Wilmington shutdown Framingham 6-0. George Brett had two hits and drove in three runs, and Al Wingo had two hits and an RBI to lead the Powerhouse. Framingham leads the ALCS 3-2 which now returns to Framingham for game six on Friday.

With one out and one on in the bottom of the 9th, Travis Jackson singled to left scoring Mickey Cochrane from third, giving Oceanside a 4-3 win over Oroville, and tying their series at two games apiece. Dogie Miller was 4-for-4 and scored two runs for the Padres.
FRAMINGHAM
Wilmington 0, Framingham 5

Regarded as one of the better closers in the OTL, manager Dave Vandal inserted Bob Lee in a starting roll, and Lee responded with six inning of 1-hit ball. Eddie Fisher followed with three innings of 1-hit ball, and Framingham shutout Wilmington 5-0, to take a commanding 3-1 lead in their ALCS.

Pete Alexander pitched a 3-hitter, and Oceanside blanked Oroville 1-0. George Sisler's 4th inning double scored Nap Lajoie from second with the game's only run. Oroville leads the Series 2-1.

HR: WIL-George Brett, FRA-Ted Williams
A 6-run 5th inning, and Ted Williams' homerun in the 8th, lead Framingham to a 7-5 win over Wilmington. Vinnie Castilla had two hits and two RBIs for the Rug Rats. George Brett homered for the Powerhouse. Framingham leads the series 2-1.

Oroville's Joe Benz pitched a 6-hitter, and the Padres take the first game of the NLCS with a 3-0 shutout win over Oceanside. Gearge Stone and Joe Cunningham each had a pair of hits to lead Oroville.

Christy "Big Six" Mathewson walked one and struckout four in pitching Framingham to a 4-2 win over Wilmington in the first game of their ALCS. Harmon Killebrew had three hits, scored a run and drove in a run in leading the Rug Rats. Don Padgett had three hits and two RBIs for the Powerhouse.
