Thursday, September 16th, 2010: Matt Nokes of the New Haven Ravens had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2010.
The 25-year-old catcher put up a .369 average and a .568 on-base percentage, piling up 140 hits, 6 doubles, no triples, 71 home runs, 203 RBIs and 181 runs scored. |
| Sub League 1 Top Pitcher Selected
Wednesday, September 15th, 2010: With speculation about his retirement gaining steam last offseason, Ravens ace Dave Stewart had something to prove. He proved it in award-winning style as he accepted the Sub League 1 Outstanding Pitcher Award today.
The veteran New Haven hurler posted a record of 27 wins and no losses this year with a 2.15 ERA. In 28 starts he struck out 337 and walked 51 in 238.1 innings. |
