The Syracuse Amazin' Mets edge the Lafayette Shoe Salesmen 3-2, and advance to the OTL World Series to meet the New Canaan Brown Bombers. William "Willie" Foster pitched 6-hit ball for 7+ innings, walked two and struck out seven, and George Davis was 3-for-3 with an RBI for the Mets. Kiki Cuyler homered for the Shoe Salesmen.


LAFAYETTE
Syracuse 6, Lafayette 8

SV: Vicente Romo
HR: SYR-George Davis
Benny Kauff had two hits and drove in two runs in leading Lafayette to an 8-6 win over Syracuse, sending the NLCS to a deciding seventh game. George Davis had two hits, including a homerun, and two RBIs for the Amzin' Mets.
NEW CANAAN
Framingham 4, New Canaan 6

HR: FRA-Nomar Garciaparra 2, NEW-Don Hurst
Phil Cockrell pitched 5-hit ball for seven innings, walking one and striking out six, as the New Canaan Brown Bombers win the OTL American League Championship with a 6-4 win over Framingham. Don Hurst had a 2-run homerun for the Bombers. Nomar Garciapara had three hits, including two homeruns and two RBIs, for the Rag Rats.




SYRACUSE
Lafayette 4, Syracuse 5

HR: SYR-Don Mattingly
Ross Barnes hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 7th to give Syracuse a 5-4 lead, and the Amazin' Mets held on to take a 3-2 lead in their NLCS. Don Mattingly had a 2nd inning homerun for the Mets. Kiki Cuyler had two hits and two RBIs for Lafayette.
FRAMINGHAM
New Canaan 9, Framingham 7(13)
W: Ray Brown L: Gene Garber
SV: Alejandro Peña
HR: NEW-Bruce Petway, FRA-Rico Carty
New Canaan scored two runs in the top of the 13th inning to best Framingham, and take a 3-2 lead in their ALCS. Coolpapa Bell and Jackie Robinson each had three and two RBIs, and Bruce Petway homered to lead the Brown Bombers. Rico Carty had three hits including a grandslam homerun for the Rug Rats.


SYRACUSE
Lafayette 8, Syracuse 3

Lafayette scored five runs in thier first at-bat, and went on to down Syracuse and even the NLDS at 2-2. Wally Schang went 4-for-4 and drove in two runs to lead the Shoe Salesmen.
FRAMINGHAM
New Canaan 4, Framingham 1
W: George Mogridge L: Addie Joss

HR: FRA-Babby Hartnett
George Mogridge pitched a 3-hitter for six innings, and New Canaan evened the ALDS with a 4-1 win over Framingham. Ray Dandridge had three hits, and Baby Doll Jacobson drove in a pair of runs for the Brown Bombers. Gabby Hartnett went deep for the Rug Rats.


SYRACUSE
Lafayette 9, Syracuse 12

HR: LAF-Solomon White, SYR-Jake Stenzel
Wilbert Robinson drove in three runs, Jake Stenzel had a homerun and two RBIs and Luke Appling has a pinch-hit 2-run triple in the Syracuse win over Lafayette. Solomon White had a 2-run homer and Benny Kauf rapped out four hits for the Shoe Salesmen.
FRAMINGHAM
New Canaan 0, Framingham 6
W: Christy Mathewson L: Nick Altrock
SV: Tim Burke
HR: FRA-Ted Williams
Christy Mathewson pitched a 2-hitter for seven innings, as Framingham blanks New Canaan 6-0. Ted Willams had a 3-run homerun and Matt Williams a 2-run double to lead the Rug Rats.




LAFAYETTE
Syracuse 6, Lafayette 4(14)

In the top of the 14th inning, Syracuse scored two runs, and evened their NL Championship Series at one game apiece. Wilbert Robinson had three hits and Fred Nicholson drove in two runs for the Amazin' Mets. Albert Belle had a pinch-hit 2-run homerun for the Shoe Salesmen.
NEW CANAAN
Framingham 6, New Canaan 3(13)
W: Frank Linzy L: Lefty Williams
SV: Jeff Tesreau
HR: FRA-Max Bishop and Eddie Mathews
Fred Toney pitched 2-hit ball for six innings, and Max Bishop hit a 3-run homerun in the top of the 13th inning, as Framingham evened their AL Championship Series at one game apiece. Eddie Mathews also homered, and Nomar Garciaparra and Gabby Hartnett had three hits apiece for the Rug Rats.

Babe Adams pitched eight innings of 2-hit ball, and Lafayette takes Game 1 of their NL Championship Series. Sol White had two hits and drove in three runs to lead the Shoe Salesmen. Al Wingo homered for the Amazin' Mets.
NEW CANAAN
Framingham 5, New Canaan 6
W: Al Brazle L: Gene Garber
SV: Alejandro Peña
HR: FRA-Nomar Garciaparra, Lou Gehrig and Ed Bailey, NEW-Lou Boudreau
Jackie Robinson had three hits and scored three runs, and Coolpapa Bell had three hits and drove in two runs, in leading New Canaan to a 6-5 squeeker over Framingham in Game 1 of the AL Championship Series.
