Bruce Petway had three hits and drove in three runs, and the Brown Bombers win their ALDS with a 7-1 win over Wilmington.

HR: SYR-Ross Barnes and Bill Terry
William Foster pitched a five hitter for seven innings, and Hoyt Wilhelm finished up with two shutout inings, as Syracuse blanked Oroville 4-0 to even their NLDS. Ross Barnes had a homerun and three RBIs, and Bill Terry had three hits inclusing a homerun for the Amazin' Mets.

HR: Jud Wilson, Babe Herman and Tito Francona
Babe Herman hit a grandslam homerun, Tito Francona hit a 2-run homerun and Babe HErman hit a solo dinger, as Louisville evened their ALDS with an 8-0 victory over Framingham. Cy Young went the distance for the Sluggers, walking none and striking out nine.

Winning pitcher Elmer Steele drove in threer uns, Ben Taylor had three hits and scored three runs, Lip Pike hit a 2-run homerun, and Syracuse gets a win in their NLDS. Al Simmons hit his second homerun of the playoffs, and Sammy Hale wqent 4-for-4 for Oroville.
