 | Anson Boosts Hit Streak to 32 Games Monday, September 27th, 2010: And the streak goes on. Cap Anson collected another hit in the Gunslingers 6-1 win over the Rainiers. The Houston catcher was 2-for-4 in the game. After the game, Anson commented on his 32-game hitting streak. "I'm not doing too much, just trying to get the bat on the ball and put it in play." His manager said, "Cap makes it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day." C. Anson singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
