  | |  | Barry Bonds Gets Hit Number 2500 Tuesday, September 21st, 2010: With one swing of the bat, Barry Bonds put his name in the league record books yesterday at Seals Stadium. It was his 2500th career hit, putting him in a select group of players.
 
 In spite of Barry Bonds's achievement, his Seattle Rainiers went down to defeat to the Oceanside Cardinals, 4-1.
 
 On his milestone day, the 38-year-old left fielder registered 1 hit in 4 at-bats.
 
 A check of his lifetime stats shows Bonds has a career .291 average with 2500 hits, 513 doubles, 76 triples, 607 home runs and 1684 RBIs. To date he has scored 1815 runs, walked 1744 times and stolen 493 bases.
